Joe Moore has been coaching cricket since 2009. From 8-year-olds taking their first steps in batting, all the way to elite professional cricketers. His primary specialism is batting, but he has a deep interest and extensive experience in fast bowling and spin bowling too.
Joe's coaching is built around the movement patterns that the world's truly great batsmen actually use. Patterns that conventional coaching has never formally taught or named. Where traditional coaching tends to fit players into a single rigid model, Joe does the opposite. He follows a constraints-led ecological approach that gives players a wider range of options, letting them discover what works for them rather than being forced into a prescribed technique. The result is coaching that feels freer and more fun, and where progress tends to happen faster than parents or players expect.
At professional level, Joe has worked extensively with Daniel Bell-Drummond (Kent captain and three seasons at London Spirit), Grant Stewart, Harry Finch, and Ekansh Singh — who played for both Kent and England Under-19, scoring a century against India U19 in 2025. In 2025 he delivered an 8-day pre-season white-ball camp for the full Kent 1st XI squad. He has also worked with players including Sam Billings and John Simpson (captain of Sussex), among others. Two of the batsmen he currently coaches represented their countries at the February 2026 T20 World Cup in India.
